Magnetism

She couldn’t explain it, but when she met him, she felt like she had met a piece of her destiny. There was something so familiar about him, like they had met before – and walking away from him felt like a mistake, every time. In fact a couple of times she had gone back with some lame excuse, unable to say goodbye even for the time being. She couldn’t explain it, but each time felt like it might be the last.

She idly wondered who they had been to one another in a past life. Siblings, lovers, or best friends. Who knew? It wasn’t the feeling of wanting to belong together forever. There was just a magnetism there, a force beyond their control, pulling them together. In the midst of a chaotic world and infinite random events, they were drawn towards each other, across space and mental continuums. Over and over.
